Kalidescope Pink and Green - #Quilt as you piece Saw this patten at #Quiltcon 2025 and had to make it. @sewnwyoming pattern called for FPP on newsprint, but I thought this would be an excellent quilt as you piece quilt. Instead of drawing the designs on the newsprint, I drew them on my batting. I did FMQ a McTavish design on the pie shapes, but that was the only additional quilting I did. Used @kaffefassettstudio fabrics for the center 🥧 on the pillows and the pink center of the quilt. I had to purchase 2 yards of the green #Kaffe fabric to be able to fussy cut the pillow pies so I used the remaining fabric for the bias binding for the quilt and the pillow cording. Did flange binding following Suzy's magic binding tutorial on YouTube. This was such a fun quilt to make and went together fairly fast. I changed the dimensions slightly to make it fit my full sized bed better, and it finished at 80" x 86". I love the pink of the original design, but I would love to see it in other complimentary colors. Batting: Pellon N-8196P - All Natural Cotton Batting 1/16" loft Show and tell- August 2025
