This is our 2nd sew along with a Robin Pickens design. 6/6/2024 Pattern bought from Quilt in a Day. 1/1/2023 I bought the Circle Savy template from Creative Grids (Amazon $48.99) to help with cutting all the quarter circles. 1/8/2025 I bought Tula Pink Untamed Lunar Hello Dahlia 108" Wide Sateen for the backing. $49.96= 2 yds 4-1-2025 I did a test block using the little waste method on a 5” square. It was a little wonky due to my original cutting of the 5” square but I think it will work if I am more precise with my cutting the layer cake(10”) into 1/4”s to make the 5” squares. 6/3/2025. Reread pattern and will start by cutting layer cake into 4ths. Then start cutting the drunker’s path pieces. 6/10/25. Cut all the layer cake into 5” squares & marked the cutting line on the circle savvy ruler. Cut about 40 quarter circles from layer cake. 6/17/25. Cut the rest of the quarter circles from layers cake squares. 7/22/25 Cut white, grey, & black quarter circles. Using pattern picture, sewed & trimmed 36 quarter circles to make 1 quadrant 8/26/2025. 1st quadrant sewn Had to re-figure fabric choices so all quadrants match. Ripped and re-sewed some of the quarter circles for other quadrants. Sewed the remaining quadrants then fixed the first one. 9/30/2025 top complete 10/14/25. Dropped off at Meme’s for digital quilting. 12/24/2025. Ann picked up my quilt. I got it from her on 12/30/2025 Label 2/11/2026 on corner triangle, extra triangle to hang. Bind 2/11/2026 Pattern 14.50, fabric for top 129.70, backing 59.43, quilting 70.00, batting 17.50= $291.13
