06/14/2026 - Put another new needle in the machine and tried again, this time I got it completed , yay! Will post a completed pic later today. 06/14/2026 - So flipping frustrated trying to get the binding sewn down, I have 2 machines and I can’t get either one to work properly to do the job. I miss my old sewing machine so much. I’m going out tomorrow to look for a vintage machine, I hate these newer ones, they’re all crap! 06/13/2026 - I got the diagonal lines finished, the quilt squared up, the binding sewn to the back of the quilt and the binding clipped halfway around. I just ran out of steam so I’ll finish clipping the other half tomorrow and then sew it all down, then I’ll be finished with this one 🧵🪡 06/12/2026 - I got some quilting done today, I got the Up/Down lines completed and the diagonal lines done in one direction. 06/11/2026 - Got quite a bit done today, I got the quilt top finished , quilt sandwich made and the first row for quilting pinned so I can start quilting tomorrow. 06/10/2026 - finished ironing the blocks and squaring them up. Began sewing the blocks together. I had one block that was too far off to use so I made another one. I really don’t like the way this quilt is turning out, not a fan of “sew then cut” patterns, but this one looked cute so I thought I would give it a try. The lines don’t match up no matter how hard I try , I do better with just squares. I’m no where near as good as most people on this app , but then again I’m not out to impress anyone, lol. 06/09/2026 - had to make a few more blocks. I have them all done, next is to iron & square up the blocks then I can start assembly. 06/08/2026 - With or without the border ? If I don’t add the border I need to make more squares , not sure yet what to do. What do you think? 06/07/2026 - I really don’t like how this one is coming together, I think the pattern is off by a quarter inch. I think I might keep this for a lap blanket and make a different one for Miss Abigail. 06/01/2026 - Started with new pattern, except my points seem to be cut off and they aren’t in the video tutorial I’m following. Too late to turn back now, I have everything cut and half of the sewing on the squares finished. It is what it is, I’m certainly not going to waste the fabric I’ll post some pictures tomorrow. Starting soon, still figuring out fabrics, colors & backing Note to self - use 5” ruler with seam allowance
