Journal Notes

This magnificent baby quilt is a bright, visually joyful triumph of high precision appliqué, balanced values, and whimsical storytelling. Nancy masterfully positioned the elephant with its trunk raised high, spraying a dynamic festive fountain of water droplets across a time in time cream and white swirling background. Each droplet is meticulously appliquéd, utilizing a beautiful assortment of vibrant batiks ranging from electric violet and sky blue to soft coral pink and lavender.
