Journal Notes

This project was a friendship quilt with My Girlfriend’s quilt shop. We had a group of 12 people who created 12 of the same blocks based on a color scheme of pink, purple, yellow, orange and red. (Sunset colors). I received my 12 blocks but wanted to make it larger than it was. One of the blocks was unusable because the measurements were so far off I chose to simply set it aside. I created some extra blocks with what I had and finished quilting it using one of Susan Smith’s favorite free motion quilting ideas. I’ve not used it since although it’s an easy edge to edge design. I gifted this to Megan because she was struggling and I thought the “friendship” vibes might help her out.
