I’ve quilted many Niemeyer projects for clients but never made one myself. So, I took a class at Options Quilt Shop, Jacksonville, TX. Perhaps this beginner pattern was too simple, for I found it tedious and a bit boring. And there’s 16 more of those diamonds to make. I’ll probably never finish it. By the way, I do keep track of my projects both with a QIP (quilt in progress) sheet and on an Excel spreadsheet that includes each Show and Tell, quilt show entered, and awards earned if any, plus any gifted. Thought I’d throw a pic of that in, too. DONE!…Well, not exactly. One of my clients was raving about how much she had fallen in love with paper piecing. I said, “well, do I have a gift for you!” I gifted her the finished bits, the pattern, and all the fabric. Two days later she sent me a photo—she had really dug in. I’m happy, she’s happy. 🎉
