Journal Notes

A sweet lady at church approached me about completing a quilt that had been started by her daughter’s late mother-in-law. Because she had started piecing by hand, Jan asked if I could complete the quilt without using any machines - only hand stitching. Most of the pieces were cut out but what still needed to be cut, another friend from church, Judy, volunteered to do. This took me somewhere around 200 hours but when it was finished, the recipient was ecstatic. They sent me some beautiful pictures with a heartfelt handwritten thank you note.
