This quilt has been accepted today (8/1/2025) to be in the National Mancuso show in Oaks, Pa in September 2025! The free patterns can be found at Fandominstitches.com. The site is owned by Jennifer Olfenstein. She brought together a Facebook group who love the books and sewing. The patterns are a collaboration from folks all around the world. Many of us had fun exchanging fabrics across the ocean, from Europe to Australia. I had so much fun, it took many years to sew. I then let just the finished top hang in libraries near me to encourage kids to read. I had to find someone with a really big long arm who would quilt it for me at a reasonable price. I took it to Sew Jersey, where Eric Becker did a fabulous job using a computerized pattern called Pheonix to quilt it. I finally bound it in 2025 and had it appraised. I am so excited that it was accepted into my first National show! Was entered in Mancuso’s Quiltfest Show in Oaks, Pa last weekend. It was juried and got many Excellents but I learned I need to pay more attention to the corners of the binding.
