Journal Notes

Sarah loves plaids. I love Sarah 🩷. This quilt was made from scraps except the neutral beige and the binding. The backing was an upcycled flannel sheet from my mom and dad. I straight stitch quilted in the ditch and wouldn’t choose that again; it was unenjoyable to do and I don’t think it enhanced the quilt. Learning experience. I wanted it a little bigger than the plaid design I could achieve with controlled scrap colors so added the tipped bricks border.
