Most quilt designs I come up start with a simple question: “what if”? For this one, I asked what would happen if I made a Churndash quilt with a modern flair. What if I used more circular pieces to give it movement? It wasn’t enough. It still needed something more. If you know me, you’ve come to realize I love playing with gradients and ombres! So that’s what I ended up doing on Lunar Hollow. The blues and pinks and purples flow together to help the eyes travel along the quilt. There’s something magical about this color scheme — and I have a feeling I’ll be using it a bit more often!
