Mom and dad had the wildest carpet we all loved - looked like a green forest with pink and lavender flowers. It was SO DIFFERENT from their usual low key traditional styles. We were very proud of them. Burlap, of all things, was all the rage back then so I made this for them. Mom used it even after it literally began to fall apart at the seams. She’d lay the pieces out like a puzzle and I’m still perturbed with myself that I didn’t snatch it up and repair it right away. I had to resew seams and reapplique in a couple places. I will probably use it just for fun. Why not?
