Journal Notes

(5/3/26) Finished making the blocks, including the borders, just missing two of the four cornerstones for the border. I decided to wait and make them from whatever scraps were left over. I also re-did the layout a couple of times sto get the flow of light to dark to light the way I wanted it it’s spring (can’t believe I’ve been working on this quilt for 6 months!) and today I planed some peppers and tomatoes after I mowed the backyard. There are two weeks left u til classes are done and I’m “off” for the summer. Almost forgot to mention that I created my own templates for the borders. In the original pattern they were pieced. (1/26/26) 5 1/2 inches of snow over the weekend and a snow day on Monday gave me lots of time to work on it. I have 26 blocks finished but may not use all of them. Had to make a tiny adjustment on the sewing line in order to make the center points in each block comment right.
