One of our guild members (Ellen) has macular degeneration and donated her entire stash for charity quilts. One of the interesting items from her stash was a long section of piecing (approximately 43" x 110") made from 3 1/2" x 6" finished blocks cut from one fabric and arranged in rows like a brick wall. The pieces were serged on the back and topstitched. I'm guessing this fabric was destined for an item of clothing, but was never finished. I cut it in half, squared it up and added borders to make it bigger and stabilize it. I quilted it on my new (to me) longarm. I did a simple quilting design as this was the first quilt for my longarm. Flimsy sizes: 50" x 58" & 50" x 65"
