We were issued a self portrait challenge at the 2022 quilt retreat in Ventura. I started buying fabrics and studying Freddie Moran‘s work online. The quilt’s due date got closer and closer. One day I just started cutting and threw some of the hair fabric on the background and that got me going. It wasn’t quite finished but I took it to retreat with me And with a little help from my friends did the eyes and lips and it was done.
