Six calicos and 6 white prints were cut into 2.5”strips x WoF, plus peach print cut into 4.5” squares. 36 16” blocks were made. For cutting, the 6 dark fabric strips were stacked, 1 strip of each color per stack, and cut into the following lengths: 16.5”, 14.5”, 12.5”, 10.5”, 8.5”, and 6.5”. The white 2.5” strips were stacked, 1 of each pattern per stack and cut as follows: 14.5”, 12.5”, 10.5”, 8.5”, 6.5”,and 4.5”. The log cabin pattern was sewn together without repeating any fabric in a single block. This cutting made 6 blocks and was repeated 6 times. Need 3/4 yards per dark color (6) and 2/3 yards per light color(6). Need 1/2 yard exactly or 3 fat quarters for 4.5” squares. Quilt top takes 9 yards. Backing: 3 yards of 108” material. Total coat about $390. Entered in the 2025 Bay Heritage Quilt Show.
