Journal Notes

I saw this on Facebook and Pinterest. This is a fun project. Actually I am making 3! Each with slight variations. 1 as a baby gift going to Italy, one for charity, 1 to save in my legacy bucket. 1 of 3 finished. I use my charity quilts to try new things. I see the birds and pinwheels as “whimsy”. I used lots of swirls and curls in the quilting to mimic and keep with the style. Lots of practice and I can see improvement. Behind the birds (hard to see) I made lines at the bottom as if the birds were standing in tall grass and swirls around their bodies. I finished the top for #3. Will quilt the same as the other two. This 3rd one will go into my legacy bucket for when I am gone
