Going to make the 1024 flying geese for the stars using the 4 at a time method. Will make them a little oversized and trim down with a bloc loc ruler. Cut all the 3” squares and 1.875 squares to start the flying geese on Monday, April 7, 2025. Started making the flying geese on April 10. Got 80 done in about 5 hours of sewing 250 flying geese units done as of May 3, 2025. 8/14/25 - less than 100 flying geese to go and I lost my bloc loc ruler. It was $35 for that little ruler because that size only came in a set. I checked every where and a friend went throughout my stuff as well and it is no where. I ordered another set which is now $45. August 2-got around 900 of the 1024 flying geese down. I only sew on this project when I go to group sewing’s such as the featherweight club at Patches or the Hooksett Library open sew or sewing with Birds Of A Feather. August 28 finished the flying geese today. 12/29 - have most of the star blocks done and decided to start sewing the blocks together. Jan 17, 2026 - finished sewing half of the blocks. May 13, 2026 - finished sewing together one half of the quilt and working on the second half. May 19, 2026 - thought I was done with the top but I had oriented 4 blocks incorrectly May 21, 2026 - top fixed and completed.
