Journal Notes

The center, main part of this quilt was donated by an unknown quilter. I added/designed borders to make it large enough to donate for a child. I added the 3-D “bows” to the border to give the quilt more texture. Honestly I was going for the “twist” I had added to another quilt but they were too wide for that. Making the knot in the center made it look like a bow. The knots are somewhat hard so I chose to not put them all the way around and just flat borders at the top for comfort. I added the FMQ “bow” to the borders (practicing ruler work) and used the walking foot on the center.
