Journal Notes

This started out as a gift for my son, but after I learned that he and his wife wanted a quilt for their bed, I went back and added to what was already pieced. This was part pattern and part my own imagination as I added on to make into a queen size. A friend taught me to use her longarm, and so the quilting was done by me. The windmill pattern was picked because, as a family, when the kids grew up, we would play a windmill game on our road trips to pass the time. This game has been passed down to my grandsons as well. The deer panel was picked, because my son, wife, and their boys are all big hunters.
