My sister asked if I would make her a queen size quilt out of different yardages of African wax print fabric. The pattern she loves is the Carriage Wheel. The fabric prints are so beautiful I almost hate to cut into it-LOL. This will be an exciting project. I am still playing with the fabric placement. The wax fabric is very bold and bright. It really should be in a pattern with bigger pieces to show off the fabric, but she wanted the Chariot Wheel. It is a bit of a challenge to make the block “less busy.” LOL - I think we have almost reached a solution. Will post final block when ready. 01/13/26 This is my current project. Making the final fabric choices/colors from wax print fabric. Hoping to get to the fabric cutting stage today or tomorrow. Update: 01/16/2026 Started piecing the individual blocks. Takes a bit of time to make sure all those pesky seams meet but I love the outcome. 03-05-25
