Journal Notes

This was made long before I knew how to quilt. I had been sewing clothes for a long time so I just dove in to make this for my parents’ 40th anniversary. I asked all the family members to draw an outline of their hand and add their signature to a piece of paper. I took those and traced with fabric crayons, then ironed onto fabric, using those blocks to make the blocks of the quilt. I chose pink for the contrast because that was Mom’s favorite color. When she passed in May, 2026, I got the quilt back. It will be going to live with my daughter.
