Journal Notes

Made in class, first quilt. This quilt started my love of quilting. After a lifetime of sewing clothes, bags, pillows & hand embroidery, I decided to take a quilt class at Asheville Cotton Company. Extraordinary instructor, Gini, taught me so much. I had never used a rotary cutter, didn’t know a quilt sandwich from piecing blocks. Many seams were ripped out and re-sewn to EXACTLY SCANT 1/4 inch! I bought a new Baby Lock sewing machine, cutting table, machine cabinet and the all important adjustable chair. And my favorite part, met wonderful Quilty people. So grateful!
