Journal Notes

This started out to be the block from the tutorial I saw on you tube but I soon simplified it. I also ran out of fabric quickly due to some of my own cutting mistakes and just not realizing how much I needed. I hurt my wrist and had to put this aside. Then I lost my sewing room for a year. I am going to be starting back in this in March 2026 I got coordinating fabric to continue as I needed a specific number of blocks. These blocks are a lot bigger than what I’ve worked with before and I needed a new ruler to square them up. While I was waiting for the ruler to come I started on another quilt. By the time the ruler came I was experiencing a lot of wrist pain I have tendinitis! Unfortunately this quilt and all sewing for that matter has been put on hold until my wrist gets better. I’m hopeful that after the holidays I will be able to get back to finishing the quilt top for this - then will have to find a long arm quilter to quilt it for me. Sooo it’s now over a year later and I still don’t have the quilt finished but. Once my wrist healed my son moved into my basement which is where my sewing room is. So I have moved most of my sewing up to my office which is very crowded. I did not get that done until November so I did not get this for Christmas but I took one square and made a pillow for her for Christmas. Hopefully I can get her quilt done for her birthday in June! Finished it. I used a different binding method since I have been having issues with corners.
