Last year I bought completed 8" squares at quilt guild show with the intention of finishing the quilt to use as longarm quilting practice. When I got home and put the blocks on my design wall, I thought "meh". Nearly 1 year later, working on UFO's I revisted the project. It looked like I could cut them into smaller pieces and make into a lonestar quilt. It has been challenging, but I like the resulting quilt rop much better.
