Journal Notes

I started this quilt at the Dexter oaks quilt retreat. I had purchased the material during the 2023 shop hop. I did not have a plan for the material so I thought the hunter’s star would work well. I found a simple version that used 10” squares. I cut and sewed the blocks in one day. The blocks end up at 8.5”. The materials did not have a great contrast but ended up working okay. I made sure the olives prints were all pointed in the same direction. The olive branch material did not have a specific direction so they were randomly sewn together. I had a coordinating border fabric that was added to make it longer per my husband’s request.
