8.20.26 I bought this pattern in Alabama in February, and finally have some time to work on it. I decided to make it semi-Christmas, with the same bright green in the square in squares, red in the 4 patches, and various greens for the "Magpie Points" The first 2 blocks were pretty labor intensive, which I expected. I'll have to come up with some labor-saving methods. 8.22.26 After making the initial 2 blocks, I decided I want to make this totally a Christmas quilt. So I'm going through my scraps and picking out greens, reds, golds, and some browns. This will not be a quick project. And I'm ok with that. But now I've got lots of pieces cut already for some mindless chain piecing... 8.25.26 I went through a huge tub of scraps yesterday and picked out the potential candidates, and placed those in a smaller tub. Today, I picked through all those, pressed them, and sorted them out for future cutting. Barely got a third of the way through. This will be interesting...(photo attached).
