I had misgivings about this quilt. It's a giant pinwheel and I hate pinwheels! I was on a mission, though, as part of the Stashbuster Frenzy*, so I watched the video and started cutting. I had 1 yard each of 3 flannel fabrics, and less than a yard of white so that was plenty for 2 quilts. I did them side-by-side and not happy to report that my feelings about pinwheels have not changed. It's a cute quilt pattern but I'll never make it again. There are 4 places where not just four, but FIVE fabrics come to the same point! Ugh. More power to Karen for being the amazing quilter she is. I won't do that again. With all of the leftovers I made a simple patch quilt. That one was fun to make. Three baby quilts out of less than 4 yards of fabric. I used frankenbatting and frankenminky (one purple/two white) for all of them. My intent was to make them and give them away, but my daughter had a friend who was expecting. They hung one in their baby's room! The patched quilt was claimed by another of her friends whose little boy had already been born. The 3rd will find a home somewhere away from here. *There is a description of the Stashbuster Frenzy with SB #01.
