Journal Notes

This is, by far, the most fun I've had making a quilt top. I'm not really sure why - revisiting all those previous projects? the improv nature of it? I used muslin squares for the foundation and random sized/print black strips in the center of each block. Other than that, it was a complete free-for-all. Too fun! I tried laying it out by color but decided I like the random color chaos better. I must have started making blocks around July of 2025 because I made a bag with one of the blocks in August... 6/9/26 Been struggling with choosing backing for this. The more I like a top, the more I want the perfect backing. Bought Quotation fabric last night at Sewing Arts. Fingers crossed this is the one!
