Journal Notes

72”x72” I bought this kit at the Houston Quilt Festival 11-2-2019. Need backing 4 3/4 yds or 2 1/4 yds of 108”. I have pulled this kit out several times as I would love to finish it. I have this on my To-Do list for this year (2025)May TOPS Project - I pulled this out and found a template that will help with the quarter circle blocks. I only looked at the kit. I have it on 2026’s TOPS list for April. 3/2026. I have cut all the “pies” and most of the “crusts” for the quarter circle blocks. Next up will be sewing these blocks before I move on to the next section. (4/13/2026. I found the 108” x 95” backing. It’s on a fabric board by the bookcase.) UPDATE : I bought a different backing I like better for this quilt😁 5/12/2026. Center section complete. 5/19/2026 1st & 2nd borders added 5/26/2026 4@ a time flying geese 20 done 6/2/2026 4@ a time flying geese 44 done =64 done 6/9/2026. 4@ a time flying geese 48 done =112 done. Geese completed. 1 border sewn and added to top. 6/23/2026. Made last 3 flying geese borders and added to top. Cut last border and added to top. Modification: I did not miter the last border. Top done‼️ 7/7/2026 dropped off at Meme’s.
