I joined Corn Wagon quilts monthly block of the month club. This was the 2026 design but the original design was in fall colors of yellow, orange, red and green. It was adapted to our group and RBD sold us pieces to coordinate with it. Unfortunately, they were not consistent with the prints, they didn’t seem to all be from one line. Maybe they were but IMO they didn’t look very good together. Who wants pink 4th of July fabric?? I was getting frustrated that they wouldn’t release all the fabric at one time, but gave us little pieces each meeting for one month’s blocks which I didn’t really love. I decided to go through my stash and found some lovely yardage from pieces I have purchased though Missouri Star and one in particular was a line by Beverly McCullough and so I ordered some discontinued fabrics off Etsy in the same line and designed my changes. To me now it looks more like sparklers like you’d see at the Fourth of July celebrations as well as summer flowers. I haven’t yet decided on how to quilt it up, that’s my holdup.
