8/9/26 Second place in pieced large professional quilts at the county fair. 4/4/26 Finished quilting it. Invested about $30 in the backing. I’m estimating I’ve spent 20 hours custom quilting it, really like how it turned out. Quilting was slowed by spring weather, building a vegetable garden, and planting crepe myrtles. Other things happening while I was working on this one was a manned rocket to the moon on 4/1. 12/25 Trying to use up my stash AND not buy anymore fabric (ha! Yes, I know that’s impossible) AND actually make some of the projects on my list. I picked up this fabric rat the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival this past June. Great show if you’ve never been! The photo doesn’t represent the colors as well as I’d like. Finished the top in about 12 days. Estimating about 24 or 15 hours invested in it so far, and $42 of fabric. G
