The Charade cross body bag has become my go-to for a fast, easy, fun and useful bag. I get so many compliments, including the biggest compliment of all from my daughter. “Will you make me one?” I’ve made two for myself and two for gifts. So far! Since I will likely make more, I made plastic templates to streamline the cutting process. Also decided to make one place to post them. There are two pictured elsewhere in the app, the Kaffe and the Kitty bags. I decided the Kaffe bag was too fancy for every day. Honestly, taking it to Home Depot? I don’t think so! Got the idea to use my old paint jeans and the goldfish for lining. Very happy with it! My daughter had very specific ideas about what she did and didn’t want. We spent an hour at the fabric store so she could find the perfect combination of fabrics. Her idea for the accent fabric along the sides. She wanted the cross hatch quilting. Gold hardware. No cork so I used canvas and cotton webbing. I added the bag feet to help keep those light colors cleaner. She loves it!
