Journal Notes

I had some very bright 2.5 strips I needed to do something with...like get this outta my sight do with. Three strips of coordinating (& sometimes not so coordinating) strips were sewn together and made into 6" blocks framed in black. I don't know what I was thinking because I attached frames on the edges, making it look choppy....really? who does that? So, I had to remove all the border edges and sew long strips of black. It's definitely not a fun process, but it taught me to pay attention... Yeah, right, not this ADD girl. I had fabric in all those colors for a back and will make a lime green border. Thought i would practice my template quilting using a random design in case I needed/required lots of forgiveness. It's working. I'm using a variegated thread to match the back colors, and it looks great. Ta! Da! Done!!!
