Journal Notes

The center block was made in a class from Karen K Stone. I got no further than one block. In an effort to clean out the sewing room, I found other blocks with similar colors, and of just the right size to fit the edges of the center block. I added filler fabric with y-seam construction. It ain't perfect, but it's done! Leftover blocks were made into hot pads quilted with 2 layers of cotton plus a layer of heat resistant batting. Love the warm colors of Fall, my favorite season!
