Journal Notes

Mom started this quilt in 2007. It was a mystery quilt from quiltaholics. I found it August 14, 2025 and added more to it to make it bigger. It was 44”*44” so I added a row of stars to make it 44* 61”. Then I added borders. There was already enough 1 1/2 inch precut strips. I wasn’t sure of the original intent but I used them to add to the borders. I still needed a few extra inches so i added some more white on white strips to make it 58”*78”. There wasn’t enough of the original fabric but it is background so I wasn’t too concerned. While ironing I noticed the light purple had bleed where my mom had steamed it. I will have to wash it with dawn soap right after I get it quilted.
