Journal Notes

I started this quilt by first looking up the meaning to the name of the baby. My son and his wife like dragons. I found this quilt patterns on Etsy. Was not exactly what I wanted. I was hoping for a paper piecing pattern but I really liked this. This turned out not to be a full pattern. I had to trace each piece and add seam allowances to the pieces with over lapping fabric. That took a bit of time. I thought I was purchasing a pattern so I did not need to do that. But I got all the pattern pieces made. It went together quite well. I really wanted to pull out more green but the baby dragon said there was enough green in the back ground. It wanted blue scales. I was able to finish the top of the quilt by the end of fall brake.
