Started sewing since Jan 1st already as of 4/20/26 I have made about 22 dresses. The same Alisa model dresses were done with leftover fabrics from Quilting. I have also made an assortment of other styles with my patterns. 4/23/2026 My apartment building caught fire. Twenty five people became homeless. We spent 14 days in a hotel and finally 5/7 we were able to move in to new place. On the 8th we were able to retrieve any salvegeble items. Very little was saved, but the 15 dresses that I made for the 2026 Project Dress a Girl campaign were saved… I can’t believe it. The experience was horrible, but thank God there was no harm to humans or animals. We are starting over with a little help from our friends and their prayers. We hang on to our faith and the guidance of the Lord. For this I am eternally grateful!!! Wow, I believe I have outdone myself. I have finished all the dresses with many adversity; moving to a new state, the tragic fire and moving again. I got to say It’s been a rough 2025-2026 but we have survived. I made a total of 50 dresses, 10 more than last year’s 2025 campaign. It’s been extremely satisfying and hope that my dresses bring a smile and light to those who receive them 🧵✂️🪡♥️
