While in Alaska, visited Mouse Patch quilt shop in Talkneeta. Purchased a fat quarter bundle of Alaska themed batiks with no idea about how to use them to reflect my trip. While cruising thru Alderwood Studio patterns, found one I thought could work with a few changes —would reflect the mountains and their reflection at the waters edge. Added glaciers. Biggest challenge: pattern called for salvage to salvage fabrics and I had fat quarters. And the fat quarters had prints that if cut would be unrecognizable. Used all the fat quarters— some pieced for the backing. Nice memory of an Alaska adventure!!
