I don’t want to spend any more money on wrapping paper that ends up filling a giant trash bag on Christmas Day. These were made with 2 French quarters each. The pattern suggests patchwork covers. I didn’t do that on these first two but will definitely try it for larger bags. One step I did add was to stitch down the seam allowances on the sides of both layers so that I could open both cover and lining slits where the drawstrings run through. this makes the bag reversible OR I can fold down the top to make a cuff before tightening the strings.
