Journal Notes

I made this for a vest challenge with my American Sewing Guild Boston Chapter. I’m not a garment sewer but thought I’d give it a try. Only the front pieces were on the donated panel. I purchased black fabric for the back at Walmart. I was able to locate enough Halloween fabric for the backing in the donated fabric. I didn’t want the back just plain so I embroidered on the back a friendly skull wearing a lovely witches hat. I made small appliqué pieces for the cats face and the bar. I thought it just needed a little something more so embellished several places with rinestones. Her broom is made from skein of DMC embroidery floss.
