I purchased the pattern for the layer cake version, however the line didn’t really have enough variety in the fabrics to follow that layout. I reached out to customer service at LBQ. They recommended I follow the layout for the Sewing Bird Trip Around the World. It meant I needed another layer cake to repeat the medium fabrics all around, but I am happy with the result. I am giving this as a gift for a sweet girl who is expecting her first child, a girl. This is a stretch for me cussed it is not a traditional baby color or pattern and ended up being larger than I think of for a baby quilt. I hope it will be useful and treasured for many years.
