2.24.26 I had very detailed notes on my progress on this quilt but they were mysteriously wiped out and I haven't had the energy to go back and try to recreate them. So I'll just pick up from here. The center block is done except for the circles. The side panels have the flowers and leaves all done. I need to go back and adjust some of the vine ends, which I had anticipated since I sewed one side down by machine without knowing exactly where I wanted them to end up. I love the pattern but I do wish there had been a template for the exact placement of the vines. I have all of the center churn dashes cut out and the corner churn dashes assembled. So when I get back home (we've been away for a month to escape the cold) I'll have some machine work to do and lots more handwork. Fun project so far! 3.7.26 Got all the little and corner churn dashes pieced. They went together really quickly! 3.27.26 Having sewn down all the big leaves, I have finally gotten all the dots and petals pinned down. So it's back to sewing down pieces again. I also realized I didn't cut out enough dots for the center...that shouldn't take long. I also did change the design a bit. Changed some petals for some dots on the outer big circles. I'm pleased with that decision. 8.17.26 I finally had the time and decided to go with a light brown for the inner narrow borders, with teal blue cornerstones. The borders went on pretty quickly. The more I think about it, the more I think I will do a mix of hand and machine quilting. Hopefully, I'll have it ready to do the middle by hand at the Shores...
