Journal Notes

This is a block of the month using my embroidery machine. I have done Kimberbell patterns before so the learning curve isn’t as steep but I have forgotten a lot!! I missed the first class at the end of January due to a funeral for a friend’s mom. After the service, we made it to the Pottstown Quilt shop to get my fabric, instructions, thread, and introduction to the instructor. Classes are either in the shop or via zoom. Not sure if I will take my 790 PRO to class… Looking over the fabric, I was disappointed that we are not using the Kimberbell line. The instructor put together similar fabrics that the kit had. We shall see how it goes. There are times that my perfectionist attitude gets in the way of being really creative. January block made on my own. My mistake was not moving the pattern down on the quilted block to center it. Well, there is extra fabric so I can redo it. February I made it to class. Met lovely and knowledgeable women Fast forward to 2026. Well, fabric shop closed in mid-2025 so we received instructions via Kimberbell mailings. All of my panels are completed. I need to do the sashings, border, then sew together. Look for this to be completed in 2026. 3/5/2026 - all sashing and borders are quilt/embroidered. Now to put it all together!!
