Journal Notes

This quilt was toward the beginning of my quilting journey. I was practicing with color, pattern and technique, so not my best work but a step in the process. One thing learned making this quilt: don’t trust old fabric. I had the black backing on and had started to quilt the entire thing when I realized my black backing fabric was falling apart. After much deliberation and discussion with other quilters, I ripped out the backing and redid it. The quilt now resides on a couch at my son’s house for the dogs to lay on.
