Journal Notes

This quilt top was commissioned through my Etsy shop for a traditional Native American wedding. The customer just wanted me to make the quilt top and she had a friend who she wanted to do the quilting and finishing touches. The story she told me was that the completed quilt would be wrapped around them during the wedding ceremony. They would keep the quilt until one of them passed. At that time, the quilt would be cut in half to wrap each one in for burial.
