Journal Notes

Scrappy postage stamp quilt inspired by Amy Sharp's layout. The red diagonal with a more controlled scrappy arrangement, each diagonal being a different color family. Will make for a fun, colorful quilt w the center diagonals forming the main color of the quilt. I'm doing low volume fabrics on one half of the diagonal and high volume on the other. I'm trying to gradate the tones where possible and match certain color diagonals between block pairs. So far it is looking colorful and fun, and is filling me with joy. I'm fussycutting some of the squares to create a "hide-and-seek" element. Goal size is 10x12 6" finished blocks, maybe I will add a border if I find a good fabric. Approx twin size. Thats about 6,000 pieces of fabric :)
