I realized I’ve never made a quilt for my own husband, so I asked him to pick out a pattern and he liked this one, then we went on a trip to Oahu where he went to school and I wanted to go to a local fabric shop while we were there, and I found this tiny little shop that had only native patterns. He told me every pattern in the shop was designed by a native Hawaiian, so I went nuts picking out fabric. And the pattern has been so fun to do
