I loved working on this quilt. I followed the block and assembly constriction as laid out in the book. I followed the instructions as written, however, I did add a 5” white border on the quilt for two reasons: 1- I like to quilt fairly densley and, from experience, I know that I’ll lose 2-3” on the final size of the quilt because of the quilting. I want to ensure the quilt fits a queen bed; 2- when it comes time to squaring up the quilt for binding, I want to ensure all points in the piecing remain intact, so adding a border allows that to happen. I wanted a square quilt with points intact. Besides, I love a nice border to quilt. 😊 finished at 89” x 108”.
