Ahoy! I had a ship idea, a sail, the sun & sea with Minki creatures swimming, the sea sort of a collage idea with shades of blue jelly roll (an unfinished quilt project I bought at fabric swap shop @ Asheville Cotton Co.) I found pirate iron-on appliqué at JoAnns. Yes! I learned Minki appliqué from MerryMabel (YouTube) & pulled any & all primary color fabric from the fireworks scraps colors. The back is Minki flannel lighthouses. Quilted 30-degrees lines. This baby blanket was a joy to make because all my creativity was used & I loved the results. Little James is a real joy as well.
