My dear friend, Donna, was celebrating her 70th birthday. She loves vintage heirloom items from family. I had rescued a package of hexagon pieces and hexagons pieced from my guild sharing table. They were of various vintage fabrics. It seemed the perfect gift to finish piecing the hexagons, appliqué them to a neutral blank quilt top I had hanging in the closet. The quilt top was pieced to use as my final quilt project for an online FMQ class taken during COVID. It was the perfect toon to use to showcase the hexagons. She loves the quilt and it is hanging on her quilt ladder in the living room.
